It looks like you want the chart here:

1. /home/<user>/.local/share/gnucash
2. /home/<user>/.local/share/gtk-3.0
3. /home/<user>/.config/gnucash
4. /home/<user>/.config/gtk-3.0

One of those four directories should have the file you are looking for.

Based on the expected files listed in that chart, I'd hazard that either 
#1 or #3 is the proper location.
