Gnucash Users,

I am encountering errors when attempting to view saved multicolumn reports
after upgrading to GnuCash 5.0. I'm wondering if anybody else has
experienced similar things, and might have found a resolution/workaround.

The following steps minimally reproduce what I am seeing (although opening
existing saved multi-column reports results in a similar outcome):

   1. Create a new multicolumn report (Reports > Multicolumn > Custom
   Multicolumn Report)
   2. Save the report configuration (no changes to the empty/blank default
report are required to reproduce the errors)
   3. Close the report, and open it again (from Reports > Saved Report
   Configurations)
   4. The following error is displayed (full screenshot attached below):

An error occurred while running the report.

              7 (apply-smob/1 #)
   In c-interface.scm:
        34:4 6 (gnc:call-with-error-handling _ _)
   In ice-9/boot-9.scm:
       829:9 5 (catch #t # …)
   In c-interface.scm:
       38:40 4 (_)
   In report-core.scm:
      745:25 3 (gnc:report-render-html #< type: "d8ba4a2e89e8…> …)
   In standard/view-column.scm:
        66:4 2 (render-view #< type: "d8ba4a2e89e8479ca9f6eccd…>)
   In ice-9/boot-9.scm:
       256:9 1 (for-each _ _)
   In unknown file:
              0 (scm-error wrong-type-arg "for-each" "Not a list: ~S" # #)

   In procedure for-each: Not a list: #f

(FWIW, I am also finding GnuCash 5.0 crashes when clicking the "Save Config
As..." button while viewing a report, and have experienced various other
unexplained crashes when using reports. I'm not sure if that is related to
this specific error - I suspect not.)
