[GNC] Placeholder accounts not totaling on reports

Hello,

I am using GnuCash 5.10. This is my initial effort to move to GnuCash. I entered all of my opening balances against the Opening Balances account as is normal. When I look at my Accounts, I see all of the correct numbers, and I see the totals of the sub-accounts in the parent placeholder accounts as expected. Great.

I set the reporting period to last year (1/1/23 - 12/31/23).

When I run the Income Statement or the Balance Sheet reports, I am seeing the following problems.

It shows the detail current asset accounts correctly, but the parent Current Assets placeholder shows zero.

The parent of Current Assets (Assets) shows zero too.

However, at the end of the Assets section, Total Assets is correct.

The same reporting error is repeated for Liabilities, Equity, Expenses, etc.

The parent placeholder accounts show correctly on the Accounts tab of GnuCash but are always zero on the Balance Sheet and Income Statement reports.

Is there any way to fix this?
