[GNC] Clearing filters on account registers

I am back at my computer. As Adrien pointed out, there is an indication
that is by default in the lower right corner of the register view
indicating the current sortation method for that view. Adjacent to that
there may be an indication if the view is filtered. To change these
settings either click on View > Sort by.., View > Filter by..., or right
click anywhere in the register to see the same actions in the pop-up menu.
Another thing that some users find frustrating until they get used to it is
when adjusting column widths to their liking, it is necessary to adjust the
description column last by dragging the right margin in the header to the
left until it snaps to the minimum width to show all other columns at
desired width when released. Double clicking the column header snaps a
column to the width required to show the widest entry completely, similar
to many spreadsheet programs.
These settings, as well as whether you like to keep some windows open when
you close the program so they open automatically when you next open the
file only get 'frozen' when you close the GnuCash program, but not when you
click File > Save. These settings are all considered 'user' settings
rather than 'book' settings so they do not get transferred to a different
computer when the file is opened in a different computer. I think the
rationale is that different computers may have different display settings,
so they may need different values, or different users may mostly work with
different accounts.
