To analyse send the IBKR account type as well.
Also try to move the USD Cash account parent account to Assets and see if it is working

Hi again.
I got an update: if I enter a transaction of 1 VT purchase and then I take the account "Assets:Current Assets:Checking Account" (which is in CHF, type "Bank"), I do see a decrease of the amount in my checking account. I also simulated the same transaction with my "EUR checking account" and here it worked correctly as well.
Why is this not working with the "Assets:Investments:IBKR:USD Cash" account (which is in USD, type "Bank")?

Hi Murugan.
I've apparently followed the steps indicated there.
This is my "VT" account:
I understand that "Stock" or "Mutual Fund" doesn't make a difference.
When I purchased VT stocks, I took the money from my "Assets:Investments:IBKR:USD Cash" account, but the amount there did not decrease (as shown in the second picture in my initial message to the list).
Where do you think the error is?
Thanks,
F.

Hi Murugan,
thanks for the quick reply.
What do you exactly mean by "are you using securities functionality"? I have so far just added the Finance::Quote tool and have this setup in GnuCash:

The display as fraction is for rounding and will not affect you.
On your second query, are you using securities functionality if so send more details

Subject: [GNC] Strange display of share price
Hi there.
I've been adding transactions for my VT share purchases, when suddenly the
display of the share price changed to something like this:
What's the reason for this type of display? The first row should be
116,9395, whereas the second should be 119,1200.
I do have some other lines above these two, and there I see the price in
the format "116,1435".
Then another question: I'm taking the money from my "IBKR:USD Cash"
account (as you can see in the first column). Now, shouldn't the "IBKR:USD
Cash" account decrease, or am I missing something? Because the
corresponding line for the transactions in my "VT" account, are just lines
with neither deposit, nor withdrawal values -->

Thanks for helping me understand.
