[GNC] Closing out QB Pro?!

Do you need to transfer data to Quickbooks? I just switched over, with the
idea that I could run QuickBooks if I needed old data. (The one thing that
I added to GnuCash were some investment bits to properly track gains).

I think GnuCash is very stable; it has a new release at the end of every
quarter. Sometimes, there are bugs introduced, but GnuCash is actively
supported.

I don't see any reason to run a VM, since there are versions for macOS and
Windows and Linux. You can build your own version on Linux systems (and
there are some packages to install).  On my Linux system (Ubuntu), I run
GnuCash under flatpak so that I can keep it in synch with the other
versions.

Some people here do their own builds; I haven't done it yet.
