[GNC] Database backend for gnucash?

I wouldn't go that far; the linux distros already build the necessary
packages. GnuCash just doesn't /require/ them.

No, you don't. As I said in my previous response to this thread, you just
need to install the appropriate LIBDBI DBD Database Driver(s) for the DB
backends you want. E.g.: apt-get install libdbi-dbd-sqlite (or whatever
driver package you want/need).

I'm pretty sure this is documented somewhere, but I don't have time to
look for it right now.
