[GNC] Database storage

How many transactions do you suppose are saved? My personal case would be ten or fifteen a month, but the other use case could be two hundred. That would be five thousand in two years. That sound like a lot to me, for a flat file. Of course, he could read the file at start-up and index it in memory, which would minimize performance hits, but what about transactional integrity? I'm unaware how GnuCash is going to implement transactions outside of a database.
