[GNC] longtime user suddenly unable to open gnucash

Sherlock, thank you. But I do not find any of these environment variables on my macbook pro:

If it is a configuration issue and not my own data file, is there a way
I could freshly uninstall and reinstall GnuCash? Would that be the way
to do it?
