[GNC] Locating Preference Storage Locations

Mark,

Forgive me if this varies for your OS of if Flatpak complicates things 
(though I think that doesn't matter), if you go to File > Properties, 
that should bring up 'Book' preferences. Those are specific to that 
'book' file, and if I'm not mistaken, stored in that actual data file.

The preferences you describe are reached in various ways depending on 
the OS, and are for the app itself, which are per-user, not per-book.

There are a few bug/enhancement-requests to relocate some of these 
accordingly as some folks would like them per-book rather than per-user, 
but I don't think much work has been done in that regard.

The usual advice for such situations as a workaround, is to create 
additional OS users and then set those specific preferences and only use 
the related users for those related books—not ideal at all, but doable.
