The difficulty is that the Register view (ie. green/yellow background) has
a lot of data for each transaction and split. Transactions have date, num,
description, doclink. Splits have memo, notes, action, amount, value,
account. And more. The register is inflexible in its display, but had
debugging and feedback from more than two decades of use. To condense into
a single line means hiding data from the user.
