[GNC] New User - 1st Question

Uh... Murray, this sounds very bizarre and wrong.

You should be able to start gnucash, create a new file, and get to work. 
  Nothing should be read-only.

If you've created your chart of accounts, then the 'file' is not read 
only, and gnucash did not open it read-only, so I'm thinking something 
else is amiss.
