Thank you, but Ken sent it to me off-list yesterday. Needs some minor

BTW - There is a way to use custom modules without having to modify the 
Quote.pm source, by setting the environment variable "FQ_LOAD_QUOTELET". 
Example somewhere in your login environment

export FQ_LOAD_QUOTELET='-defaults USBonds'

The quotes are necessary.

Perl can be tricky. One can have multiple versions of Perl on a systems, 
and have customized library paths to find modules. This can create the 
issue you are experiencing. It could also be that 
"~/gnucash-files/general_ledger/general_ledger.gnucash" is NOT same the 
Gnucash data file being used when you launch the graphical application.
