[GNC] Best IDE for Scheme Twiddling

Some time ago I started playing with some of the Scheme reports to meet
some of my specific needs. Although the improvements I made worked well
and were fairly generalized, I never created any pull requests because I
find the whole git environment / release pipeline a bit daunting. Then
life intervened, and my available time dried up.

Now I again have time to play, and I thought I might address a couple of
the outstanding annoyances. Does anyone have a favourite IDE to suggest
for the Scheme components? The web seems to imply that DrRacket is good
for this kind of thing, but it's fairly focused on educational
scenarios, and I'd rather something with just a fairly basic editor plus
debugging capability. Syntax highlighting is always nice too though.

PS: the gnucash-dev mailing list seems to have disappeared (at least for
me). Where should I be asking about git pipelines and pull requests? Is
the stuff at https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Git current?
