(I've quoted what comes through above -- on my GMail window it just
includes a tiny dotted square containing "OBJ" to indicate the embedded
image that got stripped out. Other email clients will show it differently
or not at all.)

It sounds like you are close to resolving your problem, due to a secondary
monitor.
