[GNC] Can't open Gnucash after update software

There may be two things wrong.
The presence of a .lck file in your Gnucash folder suggests that the program was interrupted without properly saving and closing the file. Usually this can be fixed by simply clicking on "Open Anyway". Or by deleting an .lck file. If two people or two instances of Gnucash are using the same data file, more care may be required. But if it is just you, go ahead and open it anyway.
The other problem is that there is an incompatibility between Gnucash versions less than 5.9-2 and MacOS 15 Sequoia. This can be fixed by updating to the current version Gnucash 5.10-1.
Best wishes,
Will
