[GNC] deleting empty items in a split

How are you entering these transactions? In my experience the imbalance split only appears if I commit the transaction (by pressing enter) before I have all the splits balanced. I usually tab between the fields, or select with the mouse, and only press enter when I have the transaction fully entered and balanced.
