[GNC] Split Transactions

Yes and No.
They are in that account register as the most recent version of that
transaction. So in that sense they are stored.
However, if you modify it then you upset that existing entry and damaged
your accounting in the process.
So, the only way to "override" is to create a new transaction of that
description removing the splits you don't want. Essentially doing what you
already are doing to deal with the situation.
