In spite of having a patch to fix that in place in time for the GnuCash 5.12 release I found to my dismay that the patch hadn’t gotten built into the release bundles. I’ve now built new ones and uploaded them to the usual places. The SHA256s are:

Thank you for this update.

As far as I can tell, the download links at <https://gnucash.org/> and
<https://gnucash.org/download.phtml> still point to the 5.12-1
installers, e.g.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/gnucash/files/gnucash%20(stable)/5.12/Gnucash-Arm-5.12-1.dmg
. However, by manually re-spelling the URL, I got

    https://sourceforge.net/projects/gnucash/files/gnucash%20(stable)/5.12/Gnucash-Arm-5.12-2.dmg

which works for me.

Also, SourceForge seems a bit uncooperative today. When I tried
downloading using the re-spelled URL from Firefox, the download failed,
even when restarted several times. Using the shell in Terminal to
download the .dmg directly from sourceforge:

    % curl --location --remote-name-all
    "https://sourceforge.net/projects/gnucash/files/gnucash%20(stable)/5.12/Gnucash-Arm-5.12-2.dmg"

…worked eventually, though with one failed download at first.

When I finally got it, though, the .dmg I received had the SHA256 digest
given above. The GnuCash executable displayed context menus correctly on
both of my non-Retina external displays as well as my built-in Retina
display.

Best regards,
