no, you're fine.  I'm just at a loss and clutching at straws a bit.    Hidden 
transactions?  Sub-accounts? something back-dated - maybe by accident?

So, to be explicit and clear.
The account register final balance shows the "correct" balance of 15k ish. 
(correct as in it agrees with your brokerage statement)
The balance sheet to 30th June shows the same number

The account as shown in the Chart of Accounts has an incorrect balance of 21k 
ish.

is certainly a bit of a puzzle, Bob.
