In the General Journal and in individual registers, transactions are
ordered within date by the contents of the Num field. Moving them up and
down is not an option, but you can change the numbers after the fact.
For instance, if you have six transactions on a given date, numbered
1,2,3,4,5,6, and then you find you forgot to enter one that should be
between the existing numbers 4 and 5, change Num for transaction 6 to 7,
change Num for Transaction 5 to 6, and then enter your missing
transaction with Num = 5.
Two transactions on a given date are actually allowed to have the same
Num field, so you could also enter your new transaction with Num = 5 and
_then_ change the existing 5 and 6 to 6 and 7.
Whichever way you do it, you must commit the change to each transaction,
by pressing the enter key, before you move on to editing the next one.
