[GNC] GNUCash Ver 5.5 & 5.11 - Parse error wgen opening GNUCASH File

Hi

 

I am currently on ver Ver 5.5 & found that there are newer updates.  I am
not a frequent user, perhaps few times & around my tax time of 30 June.

 

Installed ver 5.11 & started the App & am getting this Parse error.  I tried
with Ver5.6, Ver 5.7 etc & same error.  See attached.

 

Can some please guide me how to resolve this issue.

Hello

 

I am a very infrequent user of this GNUCASH App.

 

So far, no issues.

 

I had ver 5.5 & noted there is a latest version 5.11.

 

When I installed ver5.11, GNUCASH was not able to open the .GNUCASH file.
It showed an error as 'cannot parse file. & the file location".

 

I tried with a few other .GNUCASH files to open with ver 5.11, same error.

 

I have rolled back to ver.5.5 & no issues.

 

Is there a reason?

 

Should I install the all the versions after 5.5 etc & then install 5.11.
