[GNC] Documentation Improvement

Thanks... ah, I work with git at my job, but always had trouble with it...
I didn't find it as intuitive as I was hoping a version control system
would be (but I know it's quite popular).

It's a lot of work to do some minor updates, it seems. I'll have to read
about it.
