[GNC] To export register in part / Profit & Loss or Balance Sheet for some selected accounts

Filter the register view by the date range you wish to see, (View menu -> 
Filter By...) run an account report (Reports Menu -> Account report)  which 
you can export or copy-paste into a spreadsheet for external tweaking or 
formatting.

run the report, then "Options" button and select the relevant account(s)   
Although a balance sheet on a single account seems like it won't tell you 
much?

also, learn the "transaction report".  play with the options.  it can be very 
useful!
