[GNC] GNUcash crashes when I try to modify an account

My account file structure is a mess. I'm trying to improve this as I learn how to use GNUcash.When I try to modify an account that is (say) in the wrong location the system crashes & closes.
Maybe my crash problem relates to error message every time I open GNU (GnuCash could not obtain the lock for C:\..... That database may be in use by another user, in which case... ). It is not so I "Open Anyway" and successfully work with Gnu and can save work.Kind regards,
