Is there any global option available to make autofill case-independent
and/or to make account names case-independent? I use Dragon Naturally
Speaking to enter data into gnucash and when working with gnucash it is
inconsistent in capitalizing words, leading to autofill problems because
autofill and the account name insist on being case sensitive. I would be
delighted if there were a way to make account names case insensitive.
Also, it used to be possible to voice typing without mousing or keyboarding
and autofill for the account name would kick when I tabbed into the field
without requiring a mouse click. Now I have to mouse click on the down arrow
icon to invoke a dropdown which then uses autofill. This is very unergonomic
for anyone with severe repetitive motion injuries and who is try to avoid
mousing and keyboarding. Can this be configurable? I understand that some
people don't want autofill. I do, but without requiring mousing or
keyboarding for every entry. I need to be able to do this with Dragon most
of the time.
I realize these are probably with-list items.
I am using gnucash 5.14 on windows 11 with Dragon 16. Has anyone else found
a solution to this?
Thank you.
Tim
