[GNC] unexpected closing

I was trying to change the opening date in my income statement from 2025 to
2026. I clicked on the calendar, then the 5 to change it, and the year
started incrementing and kept going until I cancelled the option. GnuCash
then exited, which I didn't expect.  At this time of the year I have
changed from 2025 to 2026 and back again several times in the income
statement and balance sheet. Is this behaviour likely to happen again?
