[GNC] Ctrl-F (find) not finding transaction

This is GnuCash 5.12 on Fedora Linux 41 on Intel x86_64

"Accounts" is the current pane in view (so should search all accounts).
I do Ctrl-F to get the Find Transaction popup.
I click on the Description tab and change it to Value.
I enter the value I am looking for.
I click on Find.

A transaction is found with that value.
But, another transaction with that same value is not found.
The one not found is a transfer from a Bank account to
a Cash account (in a different currency).
