[GNC] New Autocomplete in 2025

Julie,

I have one idea that might partially help.  I don't know of a way to
limit the number of suggestions that Autocomplete presents now.  But to
stop Autocomplete from actually trying to ENTER (or "go with") one of
its suggestions you can do this:

BEFORE you start typing anything in the Description field, first arrow
down to the Notes field and type in anything there that you might want
as your note for the transaction.  THEN arrow back up to the STILL BLANK
Description field and start typing.  Autocomplete will still offer you
that big list of suggestions as you're typing. But since you've already
entered SOMETHING into the Notes field, Autocomplete will now only show
you suggestions for the Description field.  It won't try to recall and
enter any of your previous transactions.

I know that's not a fix for what you don't like about Autocomplete; but
at least it should prevent any unintended re-entry of an earlier
transaction.
