[GNC] The locale defined in the environment isn't supported.

Hello everybody!

I am new to this list and to GnuCash. I would like to install via 
flatpak to have the most current version available. My system language 
is English ... but I would like to run GnuCash with my native language 
(German) exclusively!

I installed via ...

     sudo flatpak install --system flathub org.gnucash.GnuCash

I checked via ...

     flatpak list -a

... if org.gnucash.GnuCash.Local was installed along.

I changed language via overrides ...

     sudo flatpak override --system --env "LANG=de_DE" --env 
"LANGUAGE=de_DE" org.gnucash.GnuCash

However, running ...

     flatpak run org.gnucash.GnuCash

... gives me the following message:

The locale defined in the environment isn't supported. Falling back to 
the 'C' (US English) locale

I tried ...

     sudo flatpak update --system --subpath=de org.gnucash.GnuCash.Locale

... but only get the reply that there is "Nothing to do."

Can somebody please help me out. I have no idea how to proceed from 
here. The above trail seems straight forward. What am I missing.
