[GNC] Trying to convert using GNU_CASH from Windows OS to new MacPro M5OS

It's too bad you didn't look at section 2.6 of the Guide; that section clearly states that copying the data file using a file manager is the preferred way to migrate data from one machine to another. 

Perhaps the sections in the Manual that you were using might need modification...

However, gnucash preferences are in a different data set in the gnucash install folder, and I am not sure if they are portable and which files they are.
