1) You can unsubscribe. Look at the bottom of any email from this list 
to see how to get to "unsubscribe"

2) if/when you are getting emails from some source that does not give 
you this option, you can use the message filter tool of your email 
client to create a rule that sends any incoming emails from that source 
to that great bit bucket in the sky.
