[GNC] Multicolumn income expense statement by month

This worked: Reports > Income and Expense > Income Report (multicolumn),
then set the frequency to monthly. With one exception, how to set the
frequency. In my version it is called "period duration" and is under the
general tab in the report options.

month in a range?

Yes, of course.

Reports > Income and Expense > Income Report (multicolumn), then set the
frequency to monthly.

Until you set the range and frequency you want, it will only show a single
column though.
