More to the point, are your gnucash files the ONLY data you plan to
move to your new computer? You intend to leave all of your documents,
pictures, etc. etc. behind?

What OS are you using and will it be the same. When I migrate to a new
computer I usually just migrate the entire "user"  directory (file
folder) since it contains ALL the user data data. If you do it file by
file, data from one application after another, not only a lot more work
but you are bound to forget something.

Back-up your user directory (file folder) to an external drive and then
"restore" to the user directory of the new machine.
