[GNC] (no subject)

When I worked with Simply Accounting it was possible to see a list of
journal entries, if I wished to simply review all actions over time.
(rather than focusing on a particular account).
I assume this must be possible with Gnucash, and when I go to *Tools *I do
see a  *General Journal*, but it opens at the current date, without
offering any information.
Am I missing something obvious?
