[GNC] Kind of a Philosophical Question about Transaction Dates

While it would be nice to have two dates, date initiated and date cleared, then you also need ways to change the sort and reports to select the right one.  Checks are the worst offenders, stocks clear 2 days later, my savings bank does a 3 business day delay in transfers, and sometimes CC is delayed as they use a 2 stage data entry and the second stage may be delayed.  Sometimes CC back-date to an earlier date!

I often add both dates to the end of the description.  I set the date to whatever helps me balance the account or make sense in a report.
