[GNC] Something went wrong....

Pam,

You need to locate the data file. If you uninstalled then reinstalled
the program then it mwon't have the location of your data file stored.
It is stored at a location of your choice. The datafile will have
whatever name you gave it ORIGINALLY and a ".gnucash " file extension
and will likely be located in your Documents area under Windows or your
home directory on Linux. If it is not in its own folder/directory there
will also be log fileas and backup files in the same folder. (See

for detail.)

Use the file explorer and file search mechanisms for your OS to locate
the data file, then when you start GnuCash select File>Open from the
menu, navigate to that location and select the datafile to open it
