[GNC] Deleting old entries

The "orderly" way would to mimic the old days of pen and ink in bound
volumes. Back then it was common to "close the books" each year. After
that new volumes were opened for the next year. So would have a number
of books, each covering one year. If you wanted to look at something
from a previous year, look in THAT volume. Likely only looking at things
at the last couple years, so older volumes might be placed in storage.
It is only because most of us aren't using the software that way, that
your problem arises. In other words, imagine if you had been doing that
from the start, new books each year. Would you still be asking your
question?
If you are then asking, "how do I transition?", well you can start now
closing each year. After a couple of years you would have completed
transition.
