[GNC] is Windows 5.13 actually stable yet?

Had 5.13 in a W11 box but was away for a while. Tried last night.
Failed to start with many things missing. Nuked and downgraded to 5.12
to get the year-end work going. So when can I go back to 5.13 expecting
normal operation? And will the correct package be installed by winget
now?

It seems that neither Yahoo! nor Alphavantage quote SBD exchange
rates.

And I would think you could fire off those separate namespace
retrievals
via cron (*nix/Mac) or a scheduled task(Win).

This has happened a number of times.
I open a Reconcile popup and the date and starting balance are
incorrect
and I'm unable to change it nor am I able to finish. There also
seems to
be no way to deal with the remainder except to put in a false entry
so
that I can finish reconciling. Any help would be appreciated. Thank
you.

Hi Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I?m writing to seek your
assistance regarding a split transaction issue I'm currently
experiencing. I've encountered a problem when trying to split a
transaction, and I'm not sure how to resolve it.
When I attempt to split the transaction, it seems that the amounts
do not distribute correctly, resulting in an imbalance. I've
double-checked the entries, but I can't seem to pinpoint where the
error might be. Has anyone else faced a similar issue, or could you
offer any guidance on how to troubleshoot or correct this?
I appreciate your help and look forward to any advice or solutions
you might have. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.
Best regards,
?ivind Nicolaysen

Under normal circumstances, users can disregard the starting balance
in reconciliation, so long as the ending balances match.
With GnuCash, the starting balance in reconciliation is a
calculation of *all* reconciled transactions in the account-- past,
present and future-- so if you have any reconciled transactions that
come after the starting date of your reconciliation, they will throw
off the starting balance. What matters is that the closing balances
match.
My general suggestion for anyone trying to reconciled a long period
of time, or to correct an error in the past (reconciled) books, is
first to try reconciling the entire period to the last date
available, selecting everything that either appears on the last
statement or predates it. If that works, then your cleanup is done.
If it doesn't, then cancel out, clear all reconcile transactions
after the last good reconciliation, and work through statement by
statement.
However, your comments that this has happened before and that you've
had to create balancing entries suggests a problem with either your
data or your procedures. Perhaps you could provide more detail?

In general, I can say that I use transactions with three or more
splits
routinely, and GnuCash always works correctly for me.? If all the
splits
in the transaction have the same currency, then GnuCash's behaviour
is
very clear: all the credits and all the debits sum up to the same
total.
If some of the splits have different currencies than others, then
GnuCash's behaviour is a little harder to see, because GnuCash
applies
exchange rates to convert one currency to another, and the exchange
rates are less visible.
Please help us out by giving us more information.
1. Can you give an example of a transaction where the imbalance
occurs??
What sort of account is each split (income, expense, asset,
liability,
equity)? What are examples of the amounts involved?
2. Do the transactions involve a single currency, or multiple
currencies?
3. What version of GnuCash are you using, and on what computer OS?
Best regards,
??? ?Jim DeLaHunt, Vancouver, Canada

I had GnuCash create a SQL database (sqlite3).
I have three different SQL GUI programs:
dbeaver-ce, SQLiteStudio, DB_Browser
I have found three online pages about SQL and GnuCash:
[40]https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/SQL
[41]https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/GnuCash_SQL_Examples
[42]https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/images/8/86/Gnucash_erd.png
I am trying to create SQL queries to find errors in my GnuCash
setup:
List of "stocks" no longer owned, but still getting Online Quotes:
List of "stocks" still owned, but not getting Online Quotes:
List of "stocks" in more than one Namespace:
List of "stocks" in more than one Trading account:
I can figure out some of the table columns that I need,
but need help creating the full queries.
I am running on Fedora Linux (35 thru 43) on Intel x86_64 with
GnuCash 5.12
and 5.13

For finding a "stock" in more than one NameSpace, Google AI came up
with:
SELECT
mnemonic,
COUNT(DISTINCT namespace) AS namespace_count
FROM
commodities
GROUP BY
mnemonic
HAVING
COUNT(DISTINCT namespace) > 1;
I have run that in sqlite3 command line and it found several
duplicates.
One down, three to go.
How do I add this to:
