Building from source *can* be an issue if you are on an LTS OS that is
more than 2 years old. There *can* be dependency hell in some
situations. If that is your case, Flatpak is indeed the best bet.
On the other hand, you might be lucky, and there are no dependency chain
problems, in which case, build away.
