Hello,

I saw the public request about moving a full GnuCash 5.12 setup from a
Windows 10 computer to a Windows 11 laptop after trying CSV exports.

I prepared a finished solution right away. The safe path is this:

   1. Do not rebuild the book from exported CSV files.
   2. Copy the original main GnuCash book file from the old computer to the
   new one.
Usually this is the file ending in .gnucash.
   3. Install the same major GnuCash version on the Windows 11 laptop.
   4. In GnuCash on the new machine, use File -> Open and open that copied
   book file directly.
   5. If you also want saved reports and related settings, copy the related
GnuCash config/report files as well, especially saved report data and any
   .gcm related settings.
   6. Keep the original file untouched until the copied one is confirmed to
   open correctly.

What not to do:
- do not try to recreate years of data from CSV exports
- do not rely on .log files as the main backup

This matches the official GnuCash migration and backup guidance:

- backup: https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Backup

I am a student and I earn some extra money this way. If the solution helps
you and you decide to use it, I would be grateful for any amount you think
is fair.
