In retrospect, I probably failed to understand the distinctions between the installation directories and the configuration directories, so I have deleted my comment above. I was also misinformed in the Gnucash user mailing list <gnucash-user@gnucash.org> about the appropriate location for custom-user.scm. | ||

Thanks for responding. In retrospect, I probably failed to understand the distinctions between the installation directories and the configuration directories, so I have deleted my comment above. I was also misinformed in the Gnucash user mailing list <gnucash-user@gnucash.org> about the appropriate location for custom-user.scm. What may still need some attention here is the disagreement with https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Environment_Variables on the correct naming of the corresponding environment variables.
