I had gnucash running under RH 7.1+Gnome1.4, but because of other
problems had to reformat partitions, reinstall RH 7.1, and then
reinstall Gnome 1.4.

However, now gnucash fails to run. I've got a lot of permission
problems and some other things evidently wrong, but suspect there's a
simple explanaation for all this. I fear piecemeal tinkering lest I
only make things worse. Would some kind soul glance at this following
list of error messages?

It seems the files that fail to load exist, but have permission
rw-r--r-- and are owned by root.
