Printer not listed

DON'T FORGET TO REPLY TO THE LIST.

I am running Edgy for every day use. I think that the operation for printing is pretty similar to Dapper, which I have on another box. If I choose lpr as a destination for the generic ps printer, then the report goes to the default system printer, the only physical printer that is attached.

So how did you install your Epson? Is it the default system printer? What happens when you print the report to the generic ps destination?

Paul

Hi Paul - Thanks for the response. To answer your q - I only have the Epson printer, and all other programs both see and print.
In the 'select printer' dialog box under 'Name', one can select from:- Generic postscript, generic postscript, print to file, fax driver (via gfax), fax driver, save to file, PDF writer. When generic postscript is selected, there is an entry lpr in the editable list area. I've tried changing this to Epson C45, but nothing happens when I click the 'print' button. I've managed to create a .pdf file using the last item, then printed it. OK from the pdf viewer. Do you need any other info?
