Alphabet and numeric keys not workng properly

Hi
I recently installed Gnucash 2.4.4 stable version, and while entering data,
my keyboard keys are not working properly, meaning, numeric keys, display
different numbers , and alphabet is also, displaying only numbers, hence
uable to enter data in any accounts. anyone faced this issue, before, kindly
help me to sort out this problem. thanks
