Using Customer or Vendor accounts to track donations

Thanks for the ideas. I think I have a workable solution now. I'm using
invoices and a Undeposited Donations account. I found that I have to use an
Acct/Rec account also. It maintains a negative balance equal to the
Undeposited Donations account. I have to use it in order to use the invoices
but I'm not sure why. Probably one of those accounting things that I am
unaware of. But for the purposes I am using Gnucash for I can just ignore
it.
