Dick,
I was about to send this to just you, then the thought occured to me
that others might find the hint useful.
It sounds like you're doing this from a command line. May I kindly
suggest that you try doing a
$ man script
This is a way to capture all of the output from something to a file
so that you can peruse it later with an editor -- though be aware
that it captures _everything_, as explained in the man page.
