I posted a concept about an Euro conversion druid earlier this week. There
wasn't too much feedback, so I suppose everything was accepted.
The preliminary code and GUI made it into CVS now. It is compiling and
running, but it doesn't do anything yet :) -- it gets as far as to
internally choose a list of all accounts to be coverted. (Which will give all
non-Euro users already the appropriate error message.)
Eventually the druid's job is this: For every chosen Euroland account with
nonzero amount, the druid should create one transaction from the Euroland
account to the exchange account and another one from the exchange account to
the new EUR account.
As you might notice in the CVS code, the druid is not offering any account
list selection option. I decided that most people will be happy enough if
this druid just converts all accounts with type != {income, expense}. This
might require some hand-craft work afterwards, but it's just the most easy
thing to program.
