Would the developers mind if some-one attempted to take some of the non-gnome1.4 stuff and back-port it to the 1.4.x tree? I was thinking along the lines of the changed register view mostly, but if there was other stuff that could go back that did not depend on Gnome1.4 then perhaps it could also go back?
