It would be funny if we got large chunks of gnome (or kde) working on
windows XP, got lots of users that way, and then microsoft changed
the license to 'no gpl on xp'.

btw history note: there was a strategy similar to this in netscape, and
at lotus: make the MS desktop irrelevent by getting the user to spend
all thier time inside of netscape/lotus.  The strategy failed ...
but was for real, I spent a day in meetings with lotus & ibm execs 
debating this point, back circa 1994.
